Laptop repair, explained.
Screens, keyboards, hinges, overheating and upgrades — with a written quote before paid work.
What we can assess
We assess screen and display faults, keyboard problems, broken hinges, charging and battery issues, overheating, boot failures, and slow performance. Board-level repair depends on the fault and parts; diagnosis does not guarantee repairability.
Compatibility comes first
Share the full laptop model and a photo of the fault. For a screen, keyboard, battery or charger, the exact part specification matters. For RAM and SSD upgrades, we check the slot, form factor, interface and supported capacity before recommending a part.
Diagnosis and approval
Start with a free discussion of the symptoms. A remote assessment can only identify likely causes; physical inspection may be needed. The written quote states the repair, parts option, labour, any delivery charges, and warranty. We ask for approval before paid repair and again if the agreed scope changes.
What affects the price
Device model, display type, extent of hinge damage, board faults, replacement-part availability and the selected part grade affect the cost. An upgrade quote should state the component specification and installation work. Ask for an itemised quote rather than relying on a generic starting price.
Time and delivery
Many common repairs take 1–3 business days after receipt, depending on diagnosis and parts availability. Complex board work may take longer. Collection and return transit are additional; we confirm the estimate for your device.
Before you send a laptop
Back up important data if possible. Share relevant symptoms and previous repair history. Ask whether the charger or another accessory is needed, and confirm packaging and courier arrangements. Do not send passwords or account credentials in the enquiry form.
Warranty and next steps
Selected repairs and parts have warranty coverage. Ask for the duration, exclusions and claim process in the quote before approval. If repair is not suitable, we explain the assessment and confirm return arrangements before dispatch.
